I'll be installing my boost gauge today when I get home. I found a plastic tee (pic related) lying around in my garage that I believe is the same size of the vacuum line, but my question is, should I go out and buy a brass tee instead? At max i'll only be pushing 14psi, so it's not like the tee will explode or anything, but should I have any worries using a plastic tee of unknown quality on my car?

I think it will probably be fine. Just don't use one of the rubber ones where you push plastic tubing in. They don't hold up, I had 3 of them fail on my GTP. Every few months or so I'd notice the vacuum reading heading more towards zero so I'd know there was a crack it it. Sold the car before I had a chance to fix the issue properly. If you do use barbed fittings make sure you use hose clamps too.

It's fine. I used to push 12 psi out the T from my windshield washers.
